Summer Show Proposal

I intend on creating a space where someone can walk into the mind of chaos and obsession. A place where someone can experience the flashes of instantaneous ideas or memories, while looking at what is in front of them. I would do this by filling a space top to bottom with the same form I have been exploring in term II by obsessively painting layer after layer of black and white paint across the space, until it is completely covered.

I would do this by painting on canvas in the studio before the show with the intention of stapling or wrapping the canvas onto the available wall space with dimensions pre-planned according to the available space (once our spaces are determined more securely).  I would cover all four walls (with a currently  undecided plan for the doorway), as well as the floor and the top of the walls like a ceiling, forming a box shape.

Additionally I'd like to include a flashing mechanism to insinuate the compulsive flashbacks and instantaneous visual thoughts I get daily. Last addition I would add if it seems appropriate would be a chair that I would also cover with the painted forms to show the blanketting of this thinking process in day-to-day life.

Concerns.

I could need to do this buy using false walls like from the studio, which could take up time and need expertise of a technician for help putting the walls together in the final location. light-wise I would be creating my own light source in the space.

I would need to have a flash warning for epilepsy and panic induced complications.

Research Festival Proposal

For the Research Festival I am heavily considering making a formal looking series of books, with accompanying box sleeve, where there are no actual words, and text is replaced with the language of forms that I have been investigating, so that the reader can use the book to bring forward the subconscious thoughts they have while looking line by line at the wordless shapes, 'reading' into their own mind instead of what I am asking of the reader.

The books would be hand bound, and the text would be separated into 'paragraphs', 'chapters', 'titles' and 'footnotes' like a formal document.
